What Is a "Joe2Pro Academy”? 

The Joe2Pro Academy is a 3 Month program for ambitious perfectionists who are committed to growth. 

It's specifically for those who know that changing where they’re at is about more than just a customized workout plan. - It’s going to take a plan to take care of recurring injuries to feel solid and athletic again, and also build unshakeable mental resilience.

The Academy is for those who want to learn strategies that will last long after this program is complete.  

It’s specifically for guys & gals who “know what to do” but struggle to do it consistently — especially now that they have more obligations and responsibilities.

 HERE'S A QUICK BACKSTORY

A while back, after years of training hard, I found myself lost and unmotivated to go to the gym.  

This was a new and frustrating time for me, considering that health and fitness had always been a big part of my life.  

For over a decade, I had loved playing sports and lifting weights. I’d even made a career out of helping other people get in shape, by writing for online magazines, appearing on television segments, training people in a private studio, and working with some of the most prestigious sports teams and executives on the east coast.  

But now that I was fast approaching fatherhood and my lifestyle had shifted dramatically.  

Gone were the days of my 20s where I could do whatever the hell I wanted. I suddenly had a “real life”, complete with new responsibilities and priorities.  

Responsibilities and priorities like:  

  • Building my career and providing for myself and my family  
  • Spending more time with the people I loved  
  • Focusing on hobbies that didn’t involve going to the gym  

AFTER YEARS OF DEDICATING THOUSANDS OF HOURS TO THE GYM, MY "OLD WAY" OF TRAINING SEEMED TOTALLY UNSUSTAINABLE.

And, frankly, kind of boring.  

When I did make the time, I never followed a plan. Instead, I walked around, did a few exercises, and left feeling more than a little defeated.  

Sure, it was better than nothing. But it also felt like I accomplished nothing.  

After a few months of struggling like this—feeling unmotivated and comparing myself to the guy I used to be—it became clear that I was not only losing muscle, strength, and confidence, I was also losing an important part of my identity.  

What little pieces of my identity I managed to hold onto was forcefully taken when someone kicked the skates out from under me on the ice during one game. I sustained a concussion that sidelined me from life as I knew it for nearly 8 months and made it abundantly clear that I can no longer be the guy I was.  

If I wasn’t the fit, healthy, muscular and athletic guy I’d been in my 20’s, then just who the hell was I?  

Was I really going to lose all the progress I’d made in the past?  

Was I really going to become the kind of guy who puts his work before his own health?

THAT'S WHEN I DECIDED TO TURN THINGS AROUND

I was worried about what would happen to my body and my health if I kept walking down the half-hearted, half-assed path I was on.  

So I started asking myself questions like:

  • “How can I do less work, but get better results?”  
  • “How can I make this easier to stick to?”  
  • “What kind of person do I want to become?”

It wasn’t that I was lazy or scared of working hard. (I wasn’t.)

I JUST COULDN'T SEE A WAY FORWARD THAT INVOLVED TRAINING LIKE I DID WHEN I WAS IN MY 20's. 


I was genuinely worried about what would happen to the rest of my life if I became “all or nothing” again and never found balance.  

I’ve seen so many people do this exact thing.

They want to train smart, make progress, and maybe even build a better body than they used to have—but they’re struggling to make their fitness a priority now. Especially when there’s work, family, and other responsibilities to attend to.  

Most have slipped into an “all or nothing” thinking, cycles of working out hard…followed by hardly working out.  

And some have even lost their passion for training altogether.

I KNOW BECAUSE I'VE ASKED!

“…I just want to feel great naked again.”  

“…you talk of working out and I’m filled with guilt.”

I wholeheartedly understand. 

Look, I know what it’s like be disappointed in myself when I’m not performing at my best. I know what it’s like to feel so overwhelmed with work and personal stuff that going to the gym is the last thing on my mind.  

Thankfully, I also know what it’s like to stop making excuses, change my approach, and follow a plan that delivers results. All while working around the obligations and responsibilities of my “real life.”
